Broncos Earn Hardware at FHSU Freshman Shoot
(Hays, Kansas) – The freshmen of the Hastings Shotgun Sports team got their first taste of collegiate competition this weekend at the Fort Hays State University Freshman Shoot, also marking the first event coached for new head coach Lane Sorensen.
(Hays, Kansas) – The freshmen of the Hastings Shotgun Sports team got their first taste of collegiate competition this weekend at the Fort Hays State University Freshman Shoot, also marking the first event coached for new head coach Lane Sorensen.
"This weekend three freshman traveled to Hays, Kansas to compete in their freshman shoot. It was a fun, long, hot, weekend, but the three shot well and ended up with some hardware and some personal bests!" Sorensen said.
Of the three freshmen - Sara Malcolm, Jace Bax, and Mollie Wechsler - two of them earned at least one top three finish.
"We would like to congratulate Sara Malcolm on her 2nd place finish in doubles trap in lady's division. We would also like to congratulate Mollie Wechsler on her 1st place finish in trap and skeet. Mollie also took home 3rd place HOA all in the lady's division!" Sorensen said.
Hastings will travel back to Hays for the HSU Shoot on Sept. 7-8.
