Russel Leads Men to 2nd Place Finish
Colby, KS - The Hastings College men's and women's cross country teams began the 2018 campaign at the Trojan Invite where the women came away with the win and the men came in second on Friday evening.
The women won the meet with a total of 17 points ahead of Johnson & Wales with 42 points.
Heidi Hennings won the meet in a time of 19:07. Fellow HC senior Karsen Keech was 2nd - 19:26 and HC Freshman Aleisha McDonald was 3rd at 19:38.
Kaley Hauxwell finished 6th overall in a time of 21:07, Cody Selvage was 9th overall in a time of 21:36. Nicole Mundy finished 11 in a time of 22:00 and rounding out the HC top 7 was Davina Westbrook who finished 12th in a time of 22:04.
The Bronco men finish second to a very tough Colby team. Team scores: Colby CC - 15; HC - 55; Johnson and Wales Univ - 77.

The Broncos Harriers will be back in action Saturday Sept. 8 taking part in the Warrior Fest Invitational host by Sterling College down in Sterling, KS.
