Results from Men's Doane track and field event
Justin Villars (SR/Minden, NE) won the men's shot put and hit an B-Standard mark with a throw of 15.58m. Villars also placed third and hit an A-Standard mark in the weight throw, throwing 18.46m. Villars was followed by Tyler Summers (SR/ Kenesaw, NE) in fourth, also hitting an A-Standard mark.
In the men's 60m hurdles, Paul Ploucha (SR/Papillion, NE) finished first with a B-Standard time of 8.24. Ploucha also finished second in the 200m with a time of 23.20, followed by Wyatt Harland (FR/Ulysses, KS) in fourth, Brian Clausen (JR/Papillion, NE) in sixth and Shane Smith (JR/Scottsdale, AZ) in seventh.
Tatum Jellenberg (SO/Mesa, AZ) placed third in the men's mile with a time of 4:42. Jellenberg also placed second in the 3000m with a time of 9:36, followed closely by Zach Hole (SR/Wichita, KS) in third with a time of 9:37.60.
Sean Bromley (SR/Chandler, AZ won the men's 5000m with a time of 18.13.
Brady Creech (FR/Hastings, NE) placed fifth in the men's high jump with a jump of 1.86m.
The Broncos will be back in action next Saturday, January 22, at Concordia for the Polar Dog Invite.
