Men's Bowling Finishes Second in Pin Count; Win Bracket Championship
Hastings, NE – The Hastings College men’s bowling team finished second at its Bronco Open this past weekend at Pastime Lanes. Carstin Olson went on to win the individual side of things. The Broncos finished with a total pin count of 9193 while Ottawa won with a total pin count of 9374.
Hastings, NE – The Hastings College men's bowling team finished second at its Bronco Open this past weekend at Pastime Lanes. Carstin Olson went on to win the individual side of things. The Broncos finished with a total pin count of 9193 while Ottawa won with a total pin count of 9374.
The top four teams then broke away to compete for the championship plaque as Hastings defeated rival Midland and then won the title by defeating Ottawa.
Olson won with a total pin count of 1369 as he cleared 200 in all six games. The middle three games were quite impressive where he bowled a 255, 245 and 235 respectively. He went on to win by 28 pins. He finished with an average of 228.16
Tyler Call finished 11th with a total pin count of 1192 for an average of 198.66. His best game was in game three where he bowled a 232. Kaden Kuusela was the next top finisher as he finished 42nd with a total pin count of 1040 as he didn't bowl in game six as he averaged 208. His best game was game three with a 220.
The Broncos will be back in action Nov. 18-19 hitting the road to take part in the NAIA Invitational out in Joliet, IL.
