Cheer Downs Doane; Dance Falls to Doane
Hastings, NE - The Hastings College cheer and dance teams were in action Wednesday night hosting Doane University as the cheer team defeated the Tigers 64.1 to 60.9 while the dance team lost 77.2 to 55.95.
This was a huge improvement from the cheerleaders first performance where they team only scored 42 points. The Lady Broncos were also able to over come a 7.75 deduction including a 5.0 deduction for not having the minimum eight participants.
There was also a huge sense of excitement that gasped from the team as soon as they were off the mat knowing just how much they had improved.
Both teams will be back in action Friday Jan. 31 taking part in the MidAmerica Nazarene Invite down in Olathe, KS.
