Women's Cross Country Placed Seventh in Preseason GPAC Poll
(Hastings, NE) – The women’s cross country team was picked to finish seventh in the preseason GPAC poll with 60 points, 14 points behind sixth-place Morningside. Dordt was the preseason pick to win the conference with 121 points and 11 first place votes, while College of Saint Mary was second and received the other first place vote.

The Broncos return three of their top seven runners from a year ago, as seniors Ava Brackhan and Mikayla Seebohm are back for their last year, along with junior Grace Dow.
Dow had the best finish at the GPAC Cross Country Championships last year, finishing 25th with a time of 25:07.94. Brackhan had several notable achievements last year, beginning with qualifying and taking 35th at the NAIA Marathon Classic and ending with national qualifying times in the 3000m indoor and 5000m outdoor racewalk competitions.
Hastings will open the season at the Terry Masterson Twilight Classic in Hutchinson, KS on Friday, Aug. 29, beginning at 8:30pm.
