Women's Bowling Results from Glenn Carlson and Collegiate Shootout
(Las Vegas, NV) – The women’s bowling team continued their season with two tournaments in Las Vegas, taking 34th out of 42 teams at the Glenn Carlson Invite on Thursday and Friday, then placed 27th out of 41 teams at the Collegiate Shootout on Saturday and Sunday.

At the Glenn Carlson Invite, senior Marissa Ruiz led the way for the Broncos, finishing 35th with a pin count of 1507 and a 188.38 average in the eight games. She had two games that were over 200, including a final game score of 232.
Junior Langley Riha took 93rd with a pin count of 1357 and had an average of 169.63 in eight games. Her best score came in game three with a pin count of 211. Senior Alyssa Currie placed 155th with a score of 1088, averaging 155.43 in seven games. Sophomore Breanna Miller finished 173rd with a total pin count of 987 for an average of 164.5 in her six games.
Junior Hailey Kirchhevel finished 181st with a total of 950 and an average of 135.71 in seven games. Sophomore Makayla Richards finished 224th with a total of 569 and an average of 142.25 in her four games.
At the Collegiate Shootout, Richards was 53rd with a pin count of 909 in five games and a 181.8 average, including a 233 in game four. Ruiz finished 75th with a total of 883 in five games for a 176.6 average and bowled 205 in game one. Currie was 119th after bowling 795 in five games, finishing with a 159 average.
Miller placed 170th in her four games, ending with 648 and a 162 average. Riha took 192nd with a total of 502 in three games for a 502 average. Kirchhevel was 196th with a pin count of 485, finishing with a 161.67 average in three games.
Up next, Hastings will compete at Kegel/ISBPA Collegiate Classic in Chicago, IL on January 17-18.
