Women's Bowling Finishes 16th and 23rd in Las Vegas Tournaments
(Las Vegas, NV) – The women’s bowling team competed in Las Vegas from Dec. 18-21. In the first two days, Hastings took 16th out of 38 teams in the Glenn Carlson Invitational. In the last two days they took 23rd out of 38 teams in the Collegiate Shootout.

At the Glenn Carlson Invitational, junior Marissa Ruiz led the way for the Broncos, finishing 21st with a pin count of 1616 and 202 average in the eight games. Senior Madison Henderson finished 58th with a total pin count of 1469 and an average of 183.63 in her eight games. Sophomore Kinzie Temple finished 121st with a total of 1255 and an average of 179.29 in seven games.
Freshman Samantha McNeely finished 178th with a total of 836 and an average of 167.2 in five games. Sophomore Langley Riha took 184th with a pin count of 764 and an average of 152.8 in five games. Junior Allyson Heidenreich was 194nd with a total of 652 in her four games and an average of 163. Sophomore Taylor Dunbar took 210th with a total of 507 in three games for a 169 average.
At the Collegiate Shootout, Ruiz led the way again with a 36th place finish. She had a pin count of 952 in five games for an average of 190.4. McNeely took 69th with a total of 889 in her five games for an average of 177.8. Heidenreich also placed in the top 100, placing 99th with a total of 843 with an average of 168.6 in five games.
Henderson finished 140th by knocking over 710 pins in four games, averaging 177.5 per game. Temple also competed in four games, taking 146th with a total of 676 and an average of 169. Riha placed 232nd with a one game score of 165, while Dunbar placed 248th with a one game score of 119.
Up next, Hastings will compete at the Kegel Isbpa Midwest Classic in Addison, IL on January 18-19.
