Men's Track and Field Competed at the Polar Dog Invite
Seward, NE – The Hastings College men’s track and field team was back in action after taking a month off as the Broncos competed in the Polar Dog Invite and here are the results.
Seward, NE – The Hastings College men's track and field team was back in action after taking a month off as the Broncos competed in the Polar Dog Invite and here are the results.
In the 4.800m relay the Broncos finished second in an "A" national standard time of 8:14. The team consists of Tyler Salter, Aaron Ochsner, Deshawn Burks and Brian Clausen.
Salter would finished second in the 1000m run in a time of 2:35 while Burks finished third in a time of 2:38 and Angel Ortiz finished eighth in a time of 2:44.
Angel Ortiz would finish third in the 800m run in a time of 2:01.
Sam Wise finished second in the 3000m racewalk in a time of 15:38.
In the pole vault Rafer Severson finished sixth with a mark of 4.05m. Severson would go on to finish seventh in the 400m run in a time of 52.38 while Ochsner finished eighth in a time of 52.58
Connor Riley went on to place sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 11.85m.
In the weight throw David Beadle placed eighth with a toss of 15.77m.
Markus Vigil went on to finish eighth in the high jump with a mark of 1.82m.
Hastings will now turn its attention to the Charlie Foster Classic on Friday Jan. 26 which is hosted by the University of Nebraska-Kearney in Kearney, NE.
