Men's Bowling 7th at Mid States; Women 20th
Wichita, KS - The Hastings College bowling teams took part in the Mid States Championships hosted by Wichita State where the Bronco men placed 7th and the women finished 20th this past weekend. The Hastings men finished with a total pin count of 9762 while Wichita State won with a pin count of 10302 as 28 teams competed in the event. The women finished with a total pin count of 7674 while Sam Houston State won the event with a pin count of 9265 with 26 teams competing.
From an individual perspective, Cameron Sedillos (SR/Aurora, CO) was the top finishing Bronco finishing 12th with a six game total of 1271 that came to an average of 211.8. His best game was game six where he fired a 266. Brady Kaufmann (SO/Centennial, CO) finished 18th with a pin total of 1253 for an average of 208.83. His best game was game four where he shot a 226.
Paul Baker (JR/Littleton, CO) finished 21st with a pin count of 1232 for an average of 205.33. His best game came in game one where he picked up a score of 238.
Aislynn Davis (SO/Grand Junction, CO) was the top finishing Lady Bronco finishing 65th with a six game pin count of 932 with her best game coming in game four with a score of 176.
The Broncos will take the next weekend off and then turn its attention to the Jayhawk Challenge on Oct. 30-31 down in Topeka, KS.
