Cheer Dominates Competition at Triangular
Hastings, NE - The Hastings College cheerleading team put on its best performance of the year which earned them first place at the triangular held Friday night inside Kiewit Gymnasium.
Hastings looked sharp in all aspects and as the routine continued, so did the confidence of the team en route to earning 79.8 points along with no deductions. The Lady Broncos ran away from its competition as York finished second with 63.25 points while Peru State finished third with 54.85 points.
This was a massive improvement from its last outing where the squad scored 67.55 points at Concordia. As long as Hastings can continue this trend, they could really begin to gain ground on national powerhouse and conference foe Midland University.
Hastings will be back in action Wednesday Feb. 17 as Doane comes to town with the dual set to begin at 7:00 p.m. inside Kiewit Gymnasium.
