Bio
Gabe Escalera served as an assistant coach in the fall of 2025 before taking over as head coach in the February of 2026. Along with Skyler Good, Escalera was named the men's golf GPAC Co-Coach of the Year after leading the Broncos to the GPAC Championship title, the first in school history. He then took the Broncos to the National Championships, where they finished third - the highest of any GPAC schools in its history. Henry Kosmicki was named GPAC Golfer of the Year and NAIA All-American, while Max Nielsen won the GPAC Tournament and was named to the GPAC First Team All-Conference, along with Kosmicki, Taiki Sugawara, and Ryke Dunkley.
As a player, he finished third his junior year at conference in 2024 and was second in his senior season, just two strokes behind first place. His five-under at the GPAC Tournament in 2025 tied for the best finish in Hastings history since 2015 and earned him a spot on the GPAC All-Tournament Team. Escalera was recognized on the All-GPAC Teams in each of his four years.
Escalera has also worked at Lochland Country Club as a Pro-Shop attendant for three years.
