Bio

Madison Jagels enters her second season as head coach of the cheer and dance programs. The dance team took sixth and the cheer team placed seventh in 2026.

A 2022 HC graduate, Jagels returned to the Broncos as head coach in 2025 after directing the varsity cheerleading team of 18 high school athletes during her three years at Hastings Senior High. She prepared team material for pep rallies, sidelines, halftime performances, community performances, and regional and state wide competitions. Also over the last few years, Jagels has worked at the Mary Lanning Healthcare Foundation and Hastings Economic Development Corporation in business development and marketing roles.

At Hastings Senior High, Jagels managed schedules alongside the athletic director, as well as expanded school spirit through new skills, programs and fundraisers. Prior to her arrival in 2022, the Hastings Senior High cheerleading program had placed 14th in the Nebraska Class B Game day category. Under her direction in 2024, the program improved to place fourth in the Nebraska Class B Non-Tumbling/Non-Building category. In 2025, they took fifth in the Nebraska Non-Tumbling/Non-Building category and added a performance in the Nebraska Class B Traditional category, placing sixth. 

While competing at Hastings College, Jagels was part of the competitive cheer team from 2019-2022, including the 2020 team that placed second at the NAIA Regional Championships. In 2020 and 2021, the Broncos were second in the GPAC and later took third in 2022.
