Jim Brittain
Jim Brittain was the equipment manager for the Bronco athletic teams, as well as the athletic building custodian for 17 years. He could often be found in the equipment room washing countless uniforms for the mens and womens athletic teams, practice uniforms and upwards of 350 towels daily.
The equipment room which served as Mr. Brittains office also doubled as a gathering place for coaches, fans, alumni and others, for a cup of coffee, a place to soothe the wounds of battle or to talk about what was ahead for the Broncos.
At the 1989 Honors Convocation, Mr. Brittain was given the President's Award for his dedication and commitment to Bronco athletics. Through the years, Mr. Brittain was seen by the players as a motivator, counselor, listener and friend. Jim retired in 1988.
