Kathy Mettenbrink

Kathy Mettenbrink - Alumni Coach of the Year

Mettenbrink, from Grand Island, NE taught and coached at Centura for 34 years before deciding to retire following the 2015 season.

She has compiled a 549-203 record during her time while leading her team to the state tournament 11 times with back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2000 and 2001. In December 2005, she recorded her 400th career victory.

In 1991, Mettenbrink was inducted into the Hastings College Athletic Hall of Fame, and in 1998, she was named State Farm Insurance Coach of the Year. In 2000, Mettenbrink was cited as Grand Island Independent Coach of the Year.
