Dr. Bob Boerigter
Dr. Bob Boerigter was director of athletics, chair of the physical education department, and professor of physical education at Hastings College from 1988 to 2001. During his tenure, Bronc athletic programs won 46 conference championships in 13 of the 16 sports. In 1993, Boerigter was named the NAIA Male Athletics Administrator of the Year.
Under Boerigter's leadership, four new athletic programs started including baseball, softball, women's golf and men's and women's soccer. Participation in athletics increased from 200 students to nearly 450. Boerigter was also instrumental in making the Osborne Family Sports Complex a reality.
