KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that 898 programs have been named 2012-13 NAIA Scholar-Teams. Lee's (Tenn.) women's golf squad, who finished the academic year with a NAIA-best combined 3.93 grade-point average, was selected as the Scholar-Team of the Year.

For the 2012-2013 academic year, 18 Hastings College Bronco teams earned NAIA Scholar-Team status, the second most in the country and the most in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC).
The Hastings College Bronco Volleyball team, led by first year Coach Matt Buttermore, posted a 3.72 grade point average. The team tied for 8th in the NAIA for overall gpa and was the top-finishing volleyball team. Earlier this week, the Omaha World-Herald named Buttermore the Women's Collegiate Coach of the Year.
The Hastings College Bronco Men's Tennis team (3.66) and the Bronco Men's Basketball team (3.56) were also the top-finishing teams in their respective sports.
