Hastings- The Hastings College men's soccer team extended its regular season streak without a loss to 30 games dating back to September 19, 2015, with a 2-0 win over the Waldorf (Iowa) Warriors on Saturday at Lloyd Wilson Field.
The Broncos (1-0) started off very strong against the Warriors (1-1) following their ring ceremony before the game. In the 20th minute, the Broncos got on the board when Daniel Linstead (JR/Canberra, Australia) fed the ball to Daniel Whitehall (JR/Warrington, England) for the goal and give the Broncos a 1-0 lead they took into the half.
Tor Trosten (SO/Tromso, Norway) got the ball to Whitehall in the 58th minute who got his second goal of the game and the 2-0 lead for the Broncos.
Whitehall led the Broncos with two goals on as many shots on the goal.
The Broncos look to extend their streak on Wednesday when they host Benedictine (Kan.) College at 7 p.m at Lloyd Wilson Field.
