Hastings- The NACDA released its annual Learfield Directors' Cup final standings on Thursday and the Broncos found themselves in 7th place in the NAIA rankings. The rankings are based off of postseason placing and points varied on the sport. The NACDA takes the top 12 placings- six sports in each gender- into consideration.
The Fall was the most dominant season for the Broncos, who claimed 1st place off a national showing by Women's Soccer, Women's Cross Country, Men's Soccer, and Volleyball.
On December 3rd, the Broncos garnered 200 points in the rankings off of two national championships. The No. 3 seeded Volleyball team would fall behind Dordt 2-0, but came back and won in five sets to win their first national championship. Within a couple hours, the top-seeded Men's Soccer team also won on a 57th minute goal by Lucas Venegas to seal the deal against the No. 2 seeded Rio Grande RedStorm.
In the Winter, the Broncos got points from four more sports- Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Track and Field, and Wrestling- en route to 4th place.
Spring was another good season for the Broncos, who got points from Men's Tennis and Men's and Women's Track and Field to secure 7th place on the list. Softball and Women's Tennis also made national appearances, but did not count towards the rankings.
